OCP is not peanuts, they put the resume on top when you have the OCP, I’ve been a contractors for 15 years, the return on my investments is tremendous.

Got a spam call from Oracle Education last week. The caller proposed ma a discount on 11g proparation class room. I did my Oracle 7 and 10g OCP respectively in 2000 and 2005. Now I need to pay something 1300 USD to have to right to pay 220 USD for the 2 OCP 11G exams.

Given the fact that OCP level is still very basic, this certification process is now only a machine to pump the money out of your pocket directly into Laryy Hat. As of real usage, being Contractor since 12 years now, I have still to see if it is a real plus on the market. Maybe OCM, but OCP I can assert it is peanuts in term of return on investement.

I’m not so sure it is completely “publicly available” yet. When I tried to log in after clicking on sign on and selecting “activate your account,” which I was guessing one would have to do in order to get a comment link:

@Gregory, maybe it make no sense, but announcing the upgrade for 2004 and never doing it is not so funny. Maybe validating New Features for OCP 10g, 11g as upgrade path is easier

It doesn’t really make any sense to have an upgrade exam for the what ? 50 9i OCM ? They should simply provide you with a 80% discount and remove the other prerequisites so that you can take the test. Anyway… That’s not even funny, you’ll pass it without even preparing !

You should also follow @hgreen777 on twitter–he’s involved with that blog I think. He’d probably help find answers for you via twitter if you’d like. I’d rather have you post the Qs on the blog as more people will see them that way.
